What TAPTAGS does

TAPTAGS is a security operations platform for patrols, tasks, incidents, DOB logs, documents, attendance, event QR control, licence alerts, reports and billing.\n\nUse the desktop app for management and reports. Use the mobile app for officers, supervisors, patrol scanning, incident reporting and event scanning.
Getting Started

Mobile login and install

1. Open Chrome on the mobile device.\n2. Go to https://taptags.uk/app.php.\n3. Login with your company account.\n4. Use Chrome menu > Add to Home screen / Install app.\n5. Open TAPTAGS from the phone icon next time.
Company Setup

Installation codes

Installation codes activate devices for a company. A code can be site-locked or all-sites. Max Uses controls how many devices can use the code. Do not share installation codes outside authorised company devices.
Employees

Employee management

Use Site Employees to add and manage staff. Regular staff codes use the company prefix, for example APE-0001. Agency staff codes use AG, for example APE-AG-001.

Training and licence profile

Each employee can have training and licence records. Expired and expiring soon licences appear in Licence Alerts.\n\nUse this section to track SIA licence expiry, training completion and renewal status.
Mobile App

Mobile dashboard

The mobile dashboard is designed for officers and supervisors. Common tiles include Time Clock, Scan Tag, Site Tasks, Reports, Messages, Emergency, TAGS and Event QR Control.\n\nFor event or stadium sites, Event QR Control is used for arrival scan, checkout scan and supervisor event control.
Patrols

Patrol scanning

Officers scan NFC checkpoints during patrols. If the device goes offline, scans and answers can be captured and uploaded when the internet returns.\n\nA patrol may show Completed, In Progress or Incomplete depending on checkpoint scans and finish status.
Site Tasks

Site tasks

Site tasks can be scheduled or adhoc. Scheduled tasks count as expected work for the date/time window. Adhoc tasks can be completed without increasing expected task counts.\n\nOvernight tasks should remain visible across midnight until the time window is complete.
Incidents & DOB

Incident reporting and DOB

Use Incident Reports to record incidents quickly from desktop or mobile. Voice incident reporting can help officers dictate details.\n\nDOB records important operational activity, such as incidents, tasks, panic alarms, notes and site events.
Documents

Documents and acknowledgements

Documents can be issued to staff for viewing and acknowledgement. Use this for policies, assignment instructions, post orders, risk assessments and company updates.
Event / Stadium

Attendance method rules

For direct company stadium/event shifts:\n\nSupervisor / Manager / Admin: Device Clock In.\nOfficer: QR / Integrated.\nTemporary Mobile Code is mainly for agency or temporary worker setup and should not be used for the direct stadium QR workflow unless deliberately required.
Event / Stadium

Event QR Control

For stadium and event sites, supervisors use Event QR Control. Arrival Scan marks officers arrived. Checkout Scan marks officers checked out. Event Control updates statuses such as Arrived, Briefed, Deployed and Checked Out.
Notifications

Licence alerts

Licence Alerts show staff whose licences are expired or expiring soon. Use the alert page to open the staff licence record and update the expiry or renewal details.
Billing

Shift invoices

Shift Invoice converts completed device clock-in shifts into invoice lines using hourly rates. Use filters for date range, site, officer type and officer name/code/email.
Troubleshooting

Common problems

Cannot login: check email, password and account active status. Device asks for installation code: use the company activation code. QR scan not working: check camera permission. Officer not visible in roster: check site assignment, role and active status.
